The Lotus Coffee Maker with Grounds Scale is a part of the company’s “Professional Series” with a professional price tag. Does this coffee maker’s price make better coffee? Well, let’s find out.
Out of the box the coffee maker is a nice, professional, and expensive looking product. The coffee makers metal exterior with dials, buttons, and screen looks very modern and something you might see in a high-end setting. The design team definitely hit the mark.
When I brew coffee, my main concerns are 1) water temps, 2) coffee grinds, 3) and brewing time. I am specifically concerned with the type of grind I use, more specially a medium grind that is perfect for the manual type of brewing this machine uses and I like a strong cup of coffee in the morning.
I like the machine’s program mode as I can set up a specific time the coffee will be ready, and the stainless-steel carafe keeps my coffee hot if I can’t get to it at my set time. I was concerned about the water tank and potential leakage; however, the seals seem to be very durable and leakage a non-issue.
This coffee maker brews coffee that is to my preferred taste and quality. However, even with all of the included features the maker is a tad too expensive as I have been able to achieve similar results at a lower price point. I will give it to the company, a well-made product such as this usually includes a higher price tag.
